Needle-based recovery work
LIVE FULLY NOW Rehab and Wellness is at 106 E Moore St in Hackettstown, reached from Randolph via Route 10 and Route 46 or I-80. Dry needling is a distinct service at the clinic, with its own sports injury recovery page beneath it for people working back toward full activity.
Sessions are designed to help your body release built-up tension and restore natural balance, and many clients experience deep relaxation during treatment along with improved mobility and reduced pain.
Needling rarely stands alone. Dry needling can sit alongside myofascial release, trigger point therapy or acupuncture within a single plan, and the clinic publishes a comparison of acupuncture and dry needling so the difference is clear before you choose.

- Sports injury recovery
- Trigger points and muscular knots
- Frozen shoulder and restricted movement
- Sciatica and nerve-pattern pain
- Headaches and migraines

Therapies available to Randolph patients
Each service below carries its own page on the site. The free consultation is where the right combination gets decided.
Dry needling
Sterile needles used to target trigger points directly. The clinic treats it as a service in its own right rather than an add-on, with a comparison page setting it against acupuncture.
Sports injury recovery
A dedicated page beneath dry needling, aimed at people working back toward full activity after an injury rather than simply managing pain.
Trigger point therapy
A separate page under myofascial release covering the specific tender knots in muscle that refer pain into other areas of the body.
Myofascial release
Hands-on work on the fascia network supporting muscles and movement, with a published comparison against deep tissue massage and a dedicated frozen shoulder page.
Acupuncture and E-Stim
Board-certified acupuncture backed by a Master’s in Oriental Medicine, with E-Stim electroacupuncture available where standard needling is not reaching the problem.
Manual lymph drainage
Gentle techniques encouraging lymph flow to help manage swelling, including after surgery, with a further page on lymphedema management.
Three things that shape a Randolph week
Randolph is unusually well provided with parks and trails, and how the township is laid out has a lot to do with how active people here stay.
Sixteen miles of township trails
Randolph’s trail system runs a 16-mile course traversing five parks, the Clyde Potts Reservoir watershed and 2,000 acres of open space, connecting to Patriots’ Path at Combs Hollow and Old Brookside. Regular trail mileage is excellent for most people, and dry needling with sports injury recovery is there when something stops settling on its own.
Freedom Park and its lighted fields
Freedom Park covers 172 acres with seven athletic fields, including two used for football and lacrosse, all lit, and connects with Brundage Park and James Andrews County Park to form a roughly 1,000-acre green belt. For anyone playing or coaching across a season, trigger point therapy and dry needling are both available.
765 acres of parkland
The township park system covers over 765 acres with five parks and sixteen miles of trails. Where an active week leaves tissue restricted rather than injured, myofascial release addresses the fascia network that supports muscles and movement.
The clinicians at Live Fully Now
Under Blake Schicker’s leadership, the clinic provides innovative, holistic, client-centered care aimed at helping people reclaim their health and live life to its fullest potential.
Blake Schicker, owner and lead therapist
Blake’s own route into this work came through recovery: he overcame multiple traumatic injuries, including a fractured spine, a fractured skull and concussion, and a broken arm, wrist and nose, and turned that process of self-healing and education into a career helping others. His qualifications include board certifications in both OT and Acupuncture, a Master’s in Oriental Medicine, and extensive training in numerous alternative therapies, built on degrees from Rutgers University, the University of Wisconsin and the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine. He received the Spirit of the Great Sage award in 2023 for clinical excellence, and has lectured at Dominican College on craniosacral therapy and myofascial release to master’s-level occupational therapists.
Jennifer Hermans, acupuncture and physical therapy
Jennifer Z. Hermans blends extensive physical therapy experience with acupuncture, which is a useful pairing for anyone coming in with a sports or overuse problem. She earned her B.A. in Psychology in 2003, volunteered for a year as a school counselor in inner-city Catholic grammar schools in Chicago, then returned to New Jersey working with children and adults with developmental disabilities. She obtained her Physical Therapy license in 2012 and has practised in orthopedic physical therapy across multidisciplinary settings since, before training as an acupuncturist after experiencing the results as a patient herself.

Further therapies at the clinic
CranioSacral Therapy is offered at the Hackettstown clinic and has its own page, with a dedicated headache relief page beneath it.
E-Stim electroacupuncture
Gentle electrical stimulation added to acupuncture needling, with its own page on the site. It is used where standard needling alone is not reaching the problem.
Digestive health acupuncture
A separate strand of the acupuncture practice aimed at digestive complaints rather than musculoskeletal pain, carrying a dedicated page of its own.
Reiki, Tui Na and Shiatsu
Energy and bodywork options grouped under one section of the site, each with its own page. Reiki is offered for stress relief in a calm, quiet treatment setting.
Therapeutic massage and Clinical Pilates
Therapeutic massage is available at the Hackettstown clinic, and Clinical Pilates supports rebuilding strength and control once tissue is ready. Both have their own pages.
General background on these therapies
The following is general information about the therapies named on this page. It is background only, and does not describe any particular treatment plan, protocol or outcome at Live Fully Now Rehab and Wellness.
Dry needling
Dry needling is a technique in which a thin filiform needle is inserted into a myofascial trigger point, a taut band within a muscle. It shares equipment with acupuncture but comes from a separate clinical tradition.
Acupuncture and E-Stim
Acupuncture originates in traditional East Asian medicine and involves inserting very fine needles at specific points. Electroacupuncture, sometimes called E-Stim, applies a small electrical current to inserted needles. Both are regulated practices performed by licensed practitioners in New Jersey.
Manual therapies
Myofascial release describes hands-on techniques applied to fascia, the connective tissue surrounding and linking muscles. CranioSacral Therapy is a light-touch manual therapy concerning the membranes and fluid around the brain and spinal cord.

Why the name says Rehab and Wellness
The company name reflects a deep commitment to both immediate and holistic well-being. “Live Fully Now” captures a philosophy emphasising the importance of seizing the present moment and striving for a life filled with vitality and purpose, on the view that true wellness goes beyond merely addressing physical or mental health issues and is about living intentionally and embracing every day with purpose. Including “Rehab and Wellness” in the name reflects a dual focus: recovering from pain, stress and trauma as well as striving for optimal health. The clinic is dedicated to supporting clients through their healing journeys while also promoting comprehensive well-being, serving people who want immediate relief and people working toward long-term improvement alike. For a Randolph athlete or parent, the practical version is that the needling, the fascia work, the craniosacral therapy and the lymph drainage all come from the same small team in one location, and can be combined within a single plan rather than chased separately.
