Holistic pain relief for Budd Lake at the Hackettstown clinic
LIVE FULLY NOW Rehab and Wellness is at 106 E Moore St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840, west of Budd Lake along Route 46. That puts board-certified acupuncture and a full range of hands-on therapies within reach of Mount Olive Township.
Sessions are designed to help your body release built-up tension and restore natural balance, and many clients experience deep relaxation during treatment along with improved mobility and reduced pain.
What sets the clinic apart is range. Acupuncture can be combined with craniosacral work or myofascial release inside one plan, so your condition is met from more than one direction. Where a case calls for stronger stimulation there is E-Stim electroacupuncture, and digestive complaints are addressed through digestive health acupuncture.
These are the conditions the clinic publishes dedicated treatment pages for:
- Sciatica and nerve-pattern pain
- Headaches and migraines
- TMJ and jaw tension
- Frozen shoulder and restricted movement
- Trigger points and muscular knots
- Lymphedema and post-surgical swelling
- Digestive complaints
- Sports injuries and recovery

Therapies available to Budd Lake patients
Every therapy below is offered at the Hackettstown clinic and has its own detailed page. The free 15-minute consultation is the place to work out which ones suit your situation.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a core service at the clinic, delivered by practitioners with board certification in acupuncture and a Master’s in Oriental Medicine. Dedicated treatment pages cover acupuncture for sciatica and digestive health, alongside general pain and stress work.
E-Stim electroacupuncture
E-Stim adds gentle electrical stimulation to acupuncture needling. It has its own service page at the clinic and is used where standard needling alone is not reaching the problem.
CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is offered at the Hackettstown clinic and has its own page, with a dedicated headache relief page beneath it.
Myofascial release and trigger point therapy
Hands-on work on the fascia network that supports muscles and movement, with a separate trigger point therapy page for the specific tender knots that refer pain elsewhere in the body.
Dry needling and sports injury recovery
Dry needling targets trigger points using sterile needles, and the clinic runs a dedicated sports injury recovery page alongside it for athletes working back toward full activity.
Manual lymph drainage
Gentle techniques that encourage lymph flow and help manage swelling, including after surgery, with a separate page covering lymphedema management.
Three things that shape an active Budd Lake week
Budd Lake sits in Mount Olive Township, and the way the town is laid out has a lot to do with how people here load their bodies.
Turkey Brook Park and a sports-heavy township
Turkey Brook Park covers 267 acres in the New Jersey Highlands and opened in 2003, with turf and grass soccer fields, baseball and softball diamonds, a lighted football field, a half-mile walking track and about a mile and a half of paved pathways. For anyone playing or coaching there through a season, the clinic runs both dry needling and a dedicated sports injury recovery service.
The Route 46 and I-80 corridor
Budd Lake sits on the Route 46 corridor at the Interstate 80 interchange, which makes it a commuting town. Sciatica is common enough among people who spend long stretches seated that the clinic publishes a dedicated page on acupuncture for sciatica.
Highlands trails and walking paths
The township sits in the New Jersey Highlands, and Turkey Brook alone carries a measured half-mile track plus roughly a mile and a half of paved paths. Where walking and running leave muscles restricted, myofascial release and trigger point therapy address the fascia network that supports movement.
The clinicians at Live Fully Now
Under Blake Schicker’s leadership, LIVE FULLY NOW Rehab and Wellness is dedicated to providing innovative, holistic, client-centered care that empowers individuals to reclaim their health and live life to its fullest potential.
Blake Schicker, owner and lead therapist
Blake’s route into this work was personal: he overcame multiple traumatic injuries, including a fractured spine, a fractured skull and concussion, and a broken arm, wrist and nose, and turned that process of self-healing and education into a passion for helping others. He holds multiple degrees from Rutgers University, the University of Wisconsin and the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine. His professional qualifications include board certifications in both OT and Acupuncture, a Master’s in Oriental Medicine, and extensive training in numerous alternative therapies. In 2023 he was honoured with the Spirit of the Great Sage award for clinical excellence, and he has served as a guest lecturer at Dominican College, presenting on craniosacral therapy and myofascial release to an audience of master’s-level occupational therapists.
Jennifer Hermans, acupuncture and physical therapy
Jennifer Z. Hermans blends extensive physical therapy experience with a deep passion for acupuncture. She earned her B.A. in Psychology in 2003 and spent a year volunteering as a school counselor in inner-city Catholic grammar schools in Chicago, then returned to New Jersey to work with children and adults with developmental disabilities in school and day programme settings. She pursued training in Physical Therapy and obtained her license in 2012, and has since been a dedicated practitioner in orthopedic physical therapy across multidisciplinary settings. Her path into acupuncture began as a patient, impressed by the results of the treatments she received, and she now integrates her physical therapy background with acupuncture to provide holistic care.

General background on these therapies
The following is general information about the therapies named on this page. It is background only, and does not describe any particular treatment plan, protocol or outcome at Live Fully Now Rehab and Wellness.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a practice originating in traditional East Asian medicine in which very fine needles are inserted at specific points on the body. Electroacupuncture, sometimes called E-Stim, is a variation in which a small electrical current is applied to inserted needles. Both are regulated practices in New Jersey and are performed by licensed practitioners.
Dry needling
Dry needling is a technique in which a thin filiform needle is inserted into a myofascial trigger point, a taut band within a muscle. It shares equipment with acupuncture but comes from a different clinical tradition, which is why practitioners describe them as separate techniques rather than interchangeable ones.
Manual therapies
Myofascial release describes hands-on techniques applied to fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and links muscles throughout the body. Manual lymph drainage is a light-pressure technique concerning the lymphatic system, and CranioSacral Therapy is a light-touch manual therapy developed in the twentieth century.
